a time of thanks, where/when we initialize to give thanks for our friends and families, of loved ones, and good food. but we must realize why we should give thanks in the first place.

it's not because our forefathers went and found "new land" and ate dinner with the native americans and shared why they were thankful.

but no, we can be thankful for our families ad friends, but our real reason to be thankful for is we have a God who saved us.

a God who loved us.

a God who sent his Son do die for us.

so why not just be thankful for God.

"what can i do but thank you, what can i do but give my life to you.
hallelujah, hallelujah. what can i do, but praise you, everyday make everything i say is
a hallelujah, a hallelujah, hallelujah."

paul baloche and graham kendrick got it right.

all we should do is thank God.

so be thankful for God for life, family, friends, humor, anything that you could be thankful, because he gave it to you.

"What Can I Do" (C) Paul Baloche, Graham Kendrick.

  1. Yep, these a great words to a great new thanksgiving song. I can still hear it in my head. This is one of those songs like I was talking about where when he says it you don't know if he's just talking to you or praying or reciting scripture or reciting song lyrics. It just flows right off the tongue.
What else can we do, Lord?!
Lord we thank you and praise you!
